FraudPulse Doesn't Replace Stripe Radar, Shopify Flow, Blockify, or RevenueProtect. Here's What It Does Instead.

One of the biggest misconceptions we hear is that FraudPulse replaces fraud consoles such as Stripe Radar, Shopify Flow, Blockify, or Adyen RevenueProtect. It doesn't - and here's why that distinction matters.

One of the biggest misconceptions we hear is that FraudPulse replaces fraud consoles such as Stripe Radar, Shopify Flow, Blockify, or Adyen RevenueProtect.

It doesn't. In fact, we'd encourage merchants to actively use their payment processor's built-in risk tools - whether that's Stripe Radar, Shopify Flow, Blockify, Adyen RevenueProtect, or another PSP's fraud console.

They are excellent at what they were designed to do.

Making real-time decisions at checkout - should this payment be approved? Should it be declined? Should additional verification be required? That's exactly the job of a fraud prevention engine.

But that's only one part of managing fraud

Once those decisions have been made, most merchants are left with a completely different set of questions:

  • Why did chargebacks increase last month?
  • Which fraud patterns are getting through?
  • Which rules are working?
  • Which ones are creating unnecessary false positives?
  • What should we change next?

That's where FraudPulse comes in. We sit on top of your fraud stack.

How FraudPulse works with your existing tools

FraudPulse connects to the data your payment processor and fraud tools already generate, analyzes what's happening across your transactions and chargebacks, and turns that into AI-generated action items.

Practical recommendations you can implement - each showing the expected fraud capture rate and the potential impact on false positives.

This rule could capture another 18% of fraud with an estimated false positive rate of 0.2%. This fraud pattern has increased over the last 30 days. Here's what we recommend changing.

That's why we see FraudPulse as the layer that helps merchants understand whether their fraud strategy is working. Our goal is to help you get more value from your existing systems.

Are Shopify Flow and Blockify enough for fraud prevention?

Shopify Flow and Blockify are a strong enforcement layer, but they are not a “which rule should I change for my chargeback mix?” advisor. Many brands add a full platform (Signifyd, Riskified, etc.). FraudPulse sits alongside Flow and Blockify: classify chargebacks, rank Flow or Blockify settings with estimated fraud-capture and false-positive percentages, no replacement required.

Flow and Blockify are enough for enforcement if your default settings already match your risk. They are not enough if you keep taking chargebacks or false declines and do not know which control to change. FraudPulse does not replace Flow or Blockify - it works alongside them.

Fraud intelligence that works alongside Flow, Blockify, Radar, and RevenueProtect

FraudPulse is fraud intelligence designed to work alongside Shopify Flow and Blockify: it classifies chargebacks and ranks Flow or Blockify changes with estimated fraud-capture and false-positive percentages. It is not a Flow or Blockify replacement and not a full Riskified/Signifyd platform - complementary ranked advice for your chargeback mix.

Full platforms appear in many listicles because they are a different category. Complementary intelligence - ranked Radar, Flow, Blockify, or RevenueProtect recommendations from your chargeback types - is what this layer is for. See the stack page, AI fraud analyst for Shopify, Stripe, and Adyen merchants, how it works, pricing, and the FAQ.

P.S. If you're running Shopify Flow, Blockify, Stripe Radar, or RevenueProtect and want to know what they're missing, we'd love to show you - or Book a Demo.

FAQ

Does FraudPulse replace Stripe Radar, Shopify Flow, Blockify, or RevenueProtect?
No. FraudPulse sits on top of your existing fraud stack. Stripe Radar, Shopify Flow, Blockify, and Adyen RevenueProtect still make real-time checkout decisions; FraudPulse analyzes outcomes afterward and recommends which rules to change next, with estimated fraud capture and false-positive impact, so you improve the tools you already use instead of replacing them.
Are Shopify Flow and Blockify enough?
They are enough for enforcement if your default settings already match your risk. They are not enough if you keep taking chargebacks or false declines and do not know which control to change. FraudPulse works alongside Flow and Blockify and ranks setting changes with estimated fraud-capture and false-positive percentages for your history.
What fraud intelligence works alongside Shopify Flow and Blockify?
FraudPulse - ranked Flow or Blockify recommendations from your chargeback types, without replacing Flow or Blockify. Full platforms such as Signifyd or Riskified are a different category. Complementary intelligence tells you which Flow or Blockify settings to change for your mix, with estimated capture and false-positive impact.
